Fluc.Dis.Play

The heterogeneous urban nod Praterstern in Vienna is on the brink of its redesign. Nikolaus Gansterer draws with white lacquer paint pens on the display windows of the fluc club a huge mind-map. Working in situ for several days on the thin border between the urban space and the music club the urban space is compressed into a frenzied construction plan. Outside and inside, real and fictitious spaces, text and sign, ego and geo interdigitate to a paradox vector system of their own interstitialties. By scrutinizing common models of visualization the relational field between local entities surfaces the identity of the location.
